Position Summary
The Senior Tax Accountant will provide support to the Tax Manager in the department with various tax and administrative matters.
Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Review work prepared by staff and assist with the preparation of the Firm’s complex partnership tax supporting schedules
- Supervise tax staff and review quarterly book/tax differences
- Assist with the preparation, review, and distribution of the partners’ estimated quarterly taxes, nonresident withholding forms as well as memos, and the yearly K-1s. This includes all proofing, copying, and distributing either by utilizing the ClientShare portal, mailing, or emailing
- Ensure Federal, state and city tax forms and payments are accurate, timely prepared and submitted, such as commercial rent tax, property tax, use tax, and selected investment partnerships
- Assist with foreign tax filings, including preparing and reviewing workpapers and analyzing book/tax differences
- Review monthly tax payment accounts, including partner withholding accounts and tracking foreign filings and payments by partner
- Review quarterly billings to foreign offices
- Supervise tax staff including but not limited to providing consistent feedback and support
- Assist the Tax Manager with special projects as needed
- Perform research on tax technical matters as needed
- Prepare and deliver communication to the Firm’s partners and their accountants regarding relevant tax information as needed
- Work with and provide support to other departments as needed

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required
- 3+ years public accounting or industry experience is preferrable
- Experience in partnership tax is a plus
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 - $100,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
