Position Summary

The Specialist, Accounts Receivable will provide accounting and clerical support related to efficient maintenance and processing of accounts receivable transactions.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work closely with partners and clients for timely and routine collection of assigned inventory.
  • Maintain close communication with Partners and their assigned Client Account Coordinator for effective resolution of client account issues, including the immediate notification of any problematic matters to the Partners and Manager, Client Accounts.
  • Update and maintain account status in the accounting system.
  • Work with Client Account Coordinators to obtain information required to facilitate the payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Utilize effective interpersonal skills necessary for communication with all levels of firm personnel.
  • Create and maintain client schedules for follow up of past due receivables.
Qualifications / Position Requirements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Great attention to details skills and accuracy.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a law firm preferred
Compensation

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 - $85,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Davis Polk offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
