Manager, Awards & Recognition
Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (overtime as required)
The Awards & Recognition Specialist will be responsible for a variety of writing and editing projects that support the increased visibility and recognition of the firm, our practices and our lawyers, including overseeing and executing the process for award nominations and industry surveys.
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Interview practice leaders and partners and perform research in order to draft engaging and compelling nominations for award opportunities across a range of publications, such as the American Lawyer and Law360
- Review and edit nominations prepared by other team members
- Identify and evaluate new award and survey opportunities
- Collaborate with colleagues in PR & Communications and Business Development to identify individuals and matters to put forward for awards
- Develop and maintain relationships with relevant editors and reporters
- Maintain calendar of award and survey submissions and track deadlines and status of nominations
- Track firm nominations and results
- Draft content to promote award wins and recognitions
- Assist with various other writing, editing and communications projects as needed
- Excellent organizational skills and very strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects simultaneously and to prioritize competing deadlines
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Proactive approach with ability to initiate and manage projects
- Exceptional judgment and discretion
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to form effective working relationships with individuals at all levels
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in public relations or marketing, preferably at a law firm or professional services firm, or as a journalist
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 - $150,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, anticipated assignment, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
