FTC clearance of Clarivate $5.3 billion acquisition of ProQuest
We advised Clarivate in connection with the FTC review, which didn’t result in antitrust remedies
Davis Polk advised Clarivate on its $5.3 billion acquisition of ProQuest from Cambridge Information Group, a family owned investment firm, and other partners including Atairos. The Federal Trade Commission requested documents and other information as part of its review of the transaction under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. The deal ultimately closed on December 1, 2021, with no antitrust remedies imposed by the FTC.
